- What are the minimum system requirements needed to watch streaming programs?
Streams has been tested and performed well on MAC and PC based browsers Internet Explorer, Mozilla FireFox and Apple Safari. Streams also will perform with any connection speed; however, individuals with dial-up connection will have noticeably slower and more choppy performance than those with a broadband connection.
- Do I need to pay to watch the programs?
No, all programs offered on Streams Video are free of charge, unless otherwise stated.
- May I view the programs while on a dial-up internet connection?
Yes, it is possible to view the programs through a dial-up connection. The quality of the program may be choppy because your internet connection is slow.
- Do I need a Macromedia Flash application to watch the programs?
Yes, you will need to have a Flash application to view the video. The application that we require is Flash Player version 8 or newer. If you do not have the application it will notify you when you try and play a specific program. Most current browsers come already equipped with the proper application; however, if you have an outdated browser, a window may appear that says you need to download Flash to make the program play. The application is a FREE Flash Player download from the Macromedia/Adobe Web site. For more information about the Flash Player, visit the Adobe Web site.
- How do I watch different video programs?
You may watch different programs by clicking on the individual titles listed in the Programs section.
- Can I pause or stop a program?
Yes, you may pause or stop a program by clicking on the stop icon.

- Is it possible to capture or save individual programs?
No, you may not save any programs to your computer. To read more on this policy click on the Legal Info link at the bottom of any Streams page.

- Where can I find contact information? Or, how can I submit my own videos for use on Streams?
You may submit works for consideration of use on Streams by filling out the Artist Intake form. You may find this form by clicking on either the Legal Info link or the Contact Info link found at the bottom of any Streams page. The Artist Intake form is available on both pages.

- How can I be notified of new video releases?
You may subscribe to Streams via RSS (Really Simply Syndication) and be notified of new releases through an RSS Reader. To read more on the availability of RSS click on the RSS Terms of Use link at the bottom of any Streams page.

- What do each of the player buttons do?
Press to play the video stream. If currently in a paused or stopped status the player will change to playing status.
Press to stop or pause playing the video stream.
Indicates length of video viewed thus far..
Drag the Seek Bar button in either direction to locate a particular scene (this is called "scrubbing"). To stop scrubbing, release the button on the Seek Bar.
Indicates total video length, or percentage of stream loaded.
Press to view the video stream in full screen mode. Use the Esc key to return to small screen mode.
Drag the volume control button to increase (right) or decrease (left) the sound. Press the speaker icon to mute.
- Do I need to Login to view Streams Video?
No, Streams does not require you to Login to view the individual programs.
- What bandwidth is considered appropriate for watching individual programs?
A higher bandwidth connection such as Cable, DSL or T1 will provide better quality as opposed to a lower bandwidth such as a dial-up connection.
- I find an error on the screen that reads "skin not found". How do I fix this?
To correct this problem you will need to download a newer version of Flash Player. Streams requires Flash Player 8 or newer. If you do not have an acceptable version of Flash Player a window will appear prompting you for download. This application is a FREE Flash Player download from the Macromedia/Adobe Web site. For more information about the Flash Player, visit the Adobe Web site.
- Why does a black box appear in place of the program that I wish to play?
The reason you are experiencing problems is because you have a slow internet connection.
- Why don't any of the tabs show up on Linux operating system browser view?
Unfortunately we do not provide support for the Linux platform.

- What do each of the player buttons do?
Press the play button to start the radio stream.
Press the stop button to stop the radio stream.
Indicates time played for current radio stream.
Visual indicator to specify the amount of time played for current radio stream.
Indicates full length of time for current radio stream.
Press the speaker button to mute the sound, or drag the volume control to increase (right), or decrease (left) the sound level of the current radio stream .
- Can I play the songs from the playlist that I want to hear?
No, The songs that are listed in the playlist are only there to show a variety of songs that are played in the specified channel.
- Do the songs play in the order that they appear in the Playlist?
No, the songs in the playlist are only a variety of the songs that are loaded in the specified genre. The songs in the individual channels play at random on the radio player.
- Can I create a personalized playlist?
No, Streams Radio is set up as, essentially, a Radio station. Anyone who is listening to Streams Radio is listening to the same music you are listening to.
- Can I stream the music from a different player than the one provided on Streams?
Yes, you may listen to the music offered on Streams through a different player. Click on the "External Player" link located in the "listen" section on the left hand side of the page and you may listen to the music through your desired player.

- How can I change genre Channels?
To change genre channels click on the desired channel located on the left hand side of the page in the "Channels" section. Once a channel is selected, the music begins to play immediately.

- What type of music will be playing on the Seasonal Channel?
Seasonal Channel programming is chosen specifically for the time of year or church calendar. When not fully within a seasonal window, the Seasonal Channel is removed from the Streams channel selection box.
- Can I share Channels or songs with friends?
Yes, please do! You may share the URL for a specific channel. An example would be: http://streams.wels.net/radio?channel=contemporary where "contemporary" equals the channel name.
- Do I need to login to listen to Streams Radio?
No, Streams Radio does not require you to Login to listen to music.
- When I click on the Radio tab nothing plays. Why?
The reason for this problem is a slow connection speed.
- The radio begins to play music but then stops and starts continually. What am I doing wrong?
The reason for this is a slow connection speed.
- Can I buy individual songs or CDs from Streams?
Yes, there is an associated URL located at the bottom of each song description that is currently playing. You may click on this URL to view more information about the artist and to find out more on purchasing works.

- Can I save the music on my computer to listen to later?
No, you may not save any of the songs to your computer. You may purchase songs through the associate URL listed in each artist description. To read more on this policy click on the "Legal Info" link at the bottom of any Streams page.
- How may I submit my own music to be played on Streams?
You may submit personal works for consideration of use on Streams by filling out the Artist Intake form. You may find this form by clicking on either the "Legal Info" link or the "Contact Info" link found at the bottom of any Streams page.
